the mods there were great and did alot without any thanks or pay, but have any of you noticed they are getting really defensive of VS? like overly defensive of them?

I think it's more being defencive of Rez and the situation, which I see as being completely understandable.

but rez himself stated that he understood that our anger was not towards him. the mods are going fucking nuts whenever we mention a deleted post or a warning. it looks like a $40 lifetime premium membership is the price of integrity these days
