I feel bad whenever anyone goes down. 2 reasons 1) ouch 2) the bike is gotta be fixed ouch again

yeah sure he could have saved himself some serious pain and misery wearing a jacket but on cruisers things just dont feel comfortable unless your goin 80. Granted he wouldn't have to take a trip to the ER to remove about a pound of Tennessee asphault. I know you sport bike guys say, "dress for the fall, not the ride." but damn,........oh well.....I see the validity of your point but......ahh I got nothin

My meshie is cooler than a t-shirt on the hottest days... it blocks the sun and allows air through... all around win. Plus, I got it on closeout for like $50... about what it costs to fill the gas tank in my truck.

Money is an excuse... and not a very good one. You have a $20,000 bike, but can't buy a $300 jacket?

I've been known to rock full leathers in 90ยบ+ heat... Camelbak full of ice cubes FTW... and next time I'm gonna try OTB's water soaked sweatshirt idea... that sounds like a winner.

I'm a gray, fat and fairly ugly kinda guy; if I was dressing for comfort or image I'd be doin' the robe and bag routine; robe for comfort, bag over my head to maintain my "image".

I have a JR mesh suit with armor for the really hot. disgusting days with my wet sweatshirt underneath.

For the rest of the time I have a zip together two piece.

None of my gear is new 'cept helmet. Most of it is 10+ yrs old. I just take care of it.

Nobody says ya gotta go drop three grand today on gear: I bought my suit (A*)second hand on CL for $175....

I just don't ride without jacket, gloves, helmet, boots 'round town, full suit any other time.

But it's a PERSONAL CHOICE.

I know what works, I know my odds of roadrash are better on a bike than in a humvee. If I CHOOSE not to wear gear; well; foo on me. I guess the boys at the shop are gonna laugh at my debradement stories and call me dipsh*t 'cause I know better.

'Cause we ALL know better...

I don't think I will laugh at anyone that crashes. Kinda fucked up.

I guess anyone that does'nt ride motorcycles shouldn't feel bad or should laugh at any rider that gets hurt or killed cause they got on a bike to begin with and they're dangerous?

I almost always have at least a jacket, gloves, helmet and boots on but i have been known to take a ride to run errands with out a jacket. Would it be on me if I got hurt? yes. But I would sure hope people wouldn't look at it like I deserved to get hurt. Sad.

It's only funny once you realize they aren't seriously injured... then it's HILARIOUS.

There is a woman at work that has asked me repeatedly over a period of years, "Ain't you hot in that?" when she sees me in my leathers. Her husband rides a Harley. I decided the next time she asks I am going to ask, "Ain't you tired of asking me the same question over and over and over??"

What I really want to say is... Even with my leathers on I am cooler than you since you're carrying around an extra 100+ pounds!!! Ain't you hot in THAT???

I get asked ALL THE TIME...."aren't you hot in all that gear?!"

I always answer, "Yeah....I am...but sweating doesn't hurt. Road rash does."

yeah I wouldn't laugh at someone that's fucked themselves up pretty good unless they did something completely douchebag to do it. Like the fucker that went 150mph into the taco bell and made meat out of himself, yeah he deserved that and I could make taco bell ground beef jokes. This dude isn't going to hurt much besides his skin.
