My buddies R1 is far narrower, my SV is narrower.

Really? The 1125R doesn't feel much wider then my 650R. Then I sit on a GSXR or ZX6R and it feels like a fucking pig. The R6 and R1 have me folded up humping the tank, so I can't tell how the rest of the bike feels. The triumph is close to the R6, but a little easier, and narrower- and it looks sooo much better.

Seat area on a 1125 is most definatly wider than any super sport bike. Also, it is a lot flatter ie more comfortable.
Easiest way to tell this is with both feet on the ground "standing" upright, not in a riding position.
