if its old, you're gonna have problems with fuel line, tank, and probably pump failures, cuz of the dif chemicals....on a new car, i dont think u have to actually "tune" for it, just have to make sure the e85 doesnt destroy everything on its way to the engine.

i could totally be wrong, so go check it out b4 u hit the pump


ive heard of ppl converting their cars to biodiesel, and then making the shit in their backyard. any1 heard of that?

I have heard of the Biodiesel... never known anyone to do it.

first, yes, lower octane in higher elevations. ie my cousin lives in utah, they have 85, 88, and 91 octane.

E85 is 105 octane
E85 is also a lot cheaper, but you will burn more.
A vehicle that gets 25 mpg buring 89 octane fuel, will get about 18 mpg under the same conditions burning E85.

A lot of hot rodders and racers to retune the cars to run E85, as the loss in efficiency for them is not that big of deal.
