Well, finally got the motor rebuilt and threw it in, buttoned everything up... kicked it a bunch of times, and she started up!

Just need to give some fresh gas, a quick oil change after a short rip around the neighborhood, figure out whats up with the brake since they feel fucked up, and she'll be good to go.

I'll just keep instructing and racing on the r6 for now, i still need to get better on that anyways.

This photo's a little washed out.... but the frame and swingarm PC'ing really make this thing look fuckin sick.

So at a recent track day I planned to take this thing out in one of the sessions I wasn't instructing and break the motor in, do some nice gradual throttle rollons and some nice easy engine braking, then change the oil to get the metal out (this thing only has ~.75 quart of oil in the tranny and about the same in the motor).

I fill it up with some C12, turn on the petcock... and the brass elbow fitting that inserts into the carb starts pissing fuel out... guess the series of 3 o-rings that seals this thing was toast.

So I had to order a carb O-ring kit and then I went away for work travel again. I'm gonna fix it Friday and break the motor in around the neighborhood and change the oil... and, you guessed it, then I go away for work travel again. I come back next friday and hope to go up to the track and race it next weekend. We shall see....

So goes the saga of this fucking motard

Once I've raced it again I think I might re-badge it a 2010... because I basically rebuilt the whole thing lol
