Did you know...
TN rocks!
as long as you watch for wildlife Turkeys http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/1.jpg i finally got some pics off of my phone the rcgoldwing http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/2.jpg i think i would of been better off buying a goldwing instead of a rc for all of the touring i do. we took off yesterday for what we thought would of been a quick easy ride out, make a loop around the lake and then back, would been great except we second guessed the map and turn around and doubled back and basically a 20 mile detour when were we turned around we were two miles from the intersection we were looking for This was pc's first time being on the back of the rc nad the first time she has been on the back for any kind of good road, we maintained a constant 55-60 mph through most of them and she did very well, it was a good way to scrub in the new m3's thumbs up http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/3.jpg m3's http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/4.jpg we stopped for pics more then usual, we noticed that we hardly have any pics of us together so it was photo-op time us http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/5.jpg didnt get any good road pics, but it looks cool road http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/6.jpg the road was near a scenic overlook the view http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/7.jpg |

were you able to fit her and the saddle bags? |
havent tried yet, but i think its gonna work, they just sit on the side away from where she would be sitting
also its nice to have microns on, since the bags are so close to the pipes the stock pipes would of melted straight through |
sweet pics... looks good man, can't wait till i can get out riding again!

the only time i felt the weight of the saddleags and tail bags was at parking lot speeds, and when i had a passenger it made the bike feel much smoother, mostly cause of the way i was riding having a passenger and i take that responsibility very seriously and was very cautious, which is a different kind of riding style for me... but the rc has more then enough power to make up for the extra weight of either types of cargo, on one very long smooth uphill straight in the middle of a valley it powered to 120 with the front tire barely feathering the tarmac with pc on board :kawi: it continued the attack on the speedometers redline, but i stopped looking down at that point...
the engine has more umph then should be allowed, i put it in 2nd and the cruised through the corners at 55-60 and it was below the powerband going in and with a slight twist would pull through the corner and come out right in the meat of the torque curve. the roads were what i would classify as easy twistys, nothing as technical as deals gap, but nice smooth hairpins and off camber mountian roads with a couple decreasing radius turns that you could look through from the start of the turn only one corner has debris and it was salt from a truck that looked like it has lost part of its load, overall much better then the gravel strewn roads of southeastern OH as far as comfy, the corbin seat is always on it so it never too too horrible, but its a repli-racer forced to parade around in civilian clothes and perform mini-van like duties |

Nice pics!
We tour as well - Louie on his RC and me on the SuperHawk. I can go 900+ miles in a day on mine but Louie's butt hurts after a full day riding the RC (he's even got a Sargent's custom seat). |

speaking of you owe me for last week. ok i guess i'm supposed to put my :2cents: in about sunday..... not going to be long. It was a lot of fun and drewpy did behave. He didn't scare me much....tried knocking me off the back once when he accelerated once  And no the "seat" is NOT comfy!!!! :td: I enjoyed being on the back but i prefer to be riding my own :kawi:  I would go again 2 up if it was in a similar situation. Cause I got to see things drewpy didn't. Mostly all the frickin deer. :willy: |

this can not be safe http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p.../stuffonrc.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...tuallyonrc.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...overloaded.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...6/backshot.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...overloaded.jpg and one of a mc going through a drive thru http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p.../drivethru.jpg |
back in ohio?
Your next trip to TN should be jawesome though. Plus you get to meet Chewy. He is pretty mean and I can't understand a damn thing he says, maybe you will have better luck with him. |
drewp, you really shoulda bought a goldwing!
wonder if they make trailers for sb's like they do for harleys. You should check into that. |
Quote:
it took like 5 hours to get to cincy, i made great time, averaged over 75 mph, and that included gas stops and a wendys stop... no officer, i have no idea why you pulled me over..... |
Quote:
nice... can't wait to see what it looks like for your Cali trip! |
That's loaded down. The most loaded down I ever saw was on I-20 where some guy on a sportbike had a HUGE hiking bag then loaded down like Drewpy's bike was. I think that guy could have hit a tractor trailer an taken it out he was so loaded down.
But yeah TN is pretty nice. I can't wait until I go back next week. It's going to fucking rule. 7 bedroom cabin near Pigeon Forge, and 5 days worth of riding to take care of. It will rule. Glad you had a fun trip. |
the view
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/drewpy636/7.jpg[/QUOTE] Is this picture from a rest area? I want to say I have seen the exact same view before. But I could just be crazy.:idk: |
