You Are All Hatin'

http://www.triumphrat.net/speed-trip...e-striped.html

Guy gets poorly executed pin striping done on his S3, posts pics of it, then gets pissy when people say it looks like shit and point out that it looks like a twat.

:lol

Welcome to the Internet.

Porkchop 06-23-2010 05:28 PM

Man they were rough. But fo sho, if you are going to post a bike pic on the interwebz, be ready for some hatin. But yea, those stripes looked like shit. They were way too thick.

Colored seats comes to mind on this forum.

Homeslice 06-23-2010 05:39 PM

I actually know him from when I was still down in San Diego. He was on CF so he might be a member here, I forgot. I haven't read the thread yet, but I don't see the problem with the bike....... the stripes aren't very noticeable to anyone regardless if they like them or not.

I guess having a vagina on your tank is better than a tank on your vagina

RedRider2k2 06-23-2010 06:11 PM

Not crazy about the stripes but it seems like some guys got awfully bent out of shape about them.

Amber Lamps 06-23-2010 07:23 PM

:whosr:you call that "hate" pfftt, that ain't nothing. heck, I sometimes prefer that type of post to the mutual salad tossing that usually goes on on forums. "Looks good!" gets old... I personally don't like pin stripping period so how it's done is irrelevant.

Yeah. I don't care for them myself but it doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks. :idk:

But, when you solicit opinions, you take the good with the bad.

Oh I wouldn't say that, exactly... As someone that routinely posts pics and then gets ragged on, I think that it's interesting what type of responses you can garner on a forum. It's a strange dichotomous situation actually... I honestly don't CARE what someone 1000 miles away thinks of my property but I am often interested in the opinions of my peers who have similar interests as myself.

lol best pic ever.

My 79 has stock pinstripes from the factory. I think it helps tie in the tank and rear. I put blue, solid-copper sparkplug wires on to match the pinstripes. Unfortunately, the camo duct tape on the seat doesn't match anything.

The stripes are all on the top parts, so you cannot even see them unless you walk up to the bike. They don't look bad at all IMO, but I don't like extra shit on the bike.

I love that bike.

wildchild 06-24-2010 08:14 AM

i'm not a huge fan of striping although when we pick up the Iron I will probably get some striping put on it for the better half. She had some work done in Tenn on a Vulcan she had and it looked pretty good. Won a couple shows with it.

I like it. That looks like it's in pretty good shape, save the seat.

Dave 06-24-2010 08:35 AM

Camo matches everything.

Avatard 06-24-2010 11:45 AM

Well, the stripes do look like ass...but at least they didn't say anything about his tail lights.

OneSickPsycho 06-24-2010 12:24 PM

I fail to see the excitement... I just scratched my ass and it was more exciting than that guy's pinstripe, that thread... and this thread too.

No claim was made stating there was excitement to be found. I just found his twat striping to be amusing and his reaction amusing a well.

Particle Man 06-24-2010 07:41 PM

Twat-striping

hey Trip: a new product idea for your vinyl werks?

DLIT 06-25-2010 04:29 PM

That pipe looks worse than the striping.

Rangerscott 06-27-2010 10:43 PM

That's a lot to take in.

Smittie61984 06-28-2010 11:22 PM

That's why I like my bike looking like shit from the get go.

Also they are weak over there. We flame 10x better than they do.

What do you expect? Half of them are probably Brits.

BRITBIKER1"Oh really, Conrad? Well, allow me to point out that your pin stripping is less than adequate!"

BRITBIKER2"I say, he definitely gave you what for"

BRITBIKER3"My word!"

BRITBIKER4"Egad, I do believe that I have been soundly thrashed!"
