That looks great under street clothes, but I need one under my track leathers. I don't need the arm protection. :chug:

ya, it's not practical to wear under leathers that already have armor in them

dReWpY 03-05-2008 04:39 PM

nm they dont carry them any more, might be why i got it cheap

r!der 03-05-2008 05:02 PM

I got an Alpinestars Race Protector. Pretty slim and comfortable.

m0n1 03-05-2008 05:28 PM

I use the field vest by icon. pretty comfy. decent price too.

Mr Lefty 03-05-2008 05:28 PM

I have the top of the A* one I bought off a local. It fits well and has a lot of adjustment to it. It needs to be broken in better before I can give an honest review of it, it's still real stiff.

azoomm 03-05-2008 07:51 PM

Dainese - with shoulder straps and the wide adjustable waist velcro...

Mule 03-05-2008 08:00 PM

icon field vest here myself.....got it for 65 bucks....ages ago....before i even started riding, in fact....

I got the top of the line Astars one. Comes with shoulder straps and a waste band thing. I was worried about the fitment under my leathers because I like my leathers tight. But it still fit. Personaly, I like spine protectors. They help my form out. Line my upper with my lower. I don't have any complaints about it. It was right around 100 degrees that day too. Didn't bother me.

I'll look into it... what's the advantage of a 1 piece over a two piece that zips together?

It stays together in a wreck.

didn't think 2 pieces separated that much in a wreck... I'll defiantly look into it

Just my opinion. A one peice is better than a two peice because there's a possibility the zipper will break and there's no zipper to break on a 1-peice. 1-peices are the only way IMO.

Zippers can fail, and sliding off course there is more likelyhood of injury if something goes between the leather and the body (in the leathers). With a one piece that won't happen.

1 piece better on the track
2 piece more convenient for street riding.

I used a 2 piece for like 10 trackdays before I got a one piece.
On top of better protection, one piece suits just seem to be way more comfortable while in riding position.
