BT016s OEMs....149 miles....$100 plus shipping

Selling the BT016s off of my 2009 ZX6r..120/70 and 180/55. 149 miles on the tires, so they are basically brand new (one canyon run on em).

100 bucks plus 30 to ship anywhere in the Continential U.S.

Camera is broke, so I cannot take a picture. Thought it was the batteries, but the battery life indicates full, but the thing shuts off within a few seconds. I'll prolly buy a new one this w/e.

PM me if interested.

These tires stick very very well for OEMs.

I sent him a PM about 3 days ago cause I thought he said he needed new tires and these were on his list. Never responded so I thought he wasn't interested.

The OEM compound on BT016 suck. Aftermarkets are better. My OEMs slipped all the time and took forever to heat up.

Not IMO...though you live in MI. I thought they heated up pretty damn well and stuck pretty good for non Race tires. I was running these in the low 70s temps.

If they work in warmer weather then great. I can only speak of their performance in MI weather. I blame my tires for totaling my bike. Nov 4th, 40 degree day, just left my house and 1/4 down the road going 35mph I had to make a abrupt stop..... Well I didn't stop. the tires locked up and I slid down the hill into a dump truck. I have no doubts that if I had PP's on I would have stopped.

Maybe it's the rider and not the tires. :boobs:

^^^Were still buds right? lol

Just fuckin wit ya.....I lived in MI for 7 years and I remember D220s doing the exact same thing. Did a 180 once when I wasn't even on the gas. When it's cold tires just don't stick.

Good luck finding ANY fucking tire that will grip a 1/4 mile from the house in the morning. Unless your bike uses tire warmers at home then it ain't happening. Blame the tires all you want.

Yea I crashed the same way right after I got my bike...leaving the parking lot! They were BT-016s and I agree that they warm up slower than say, Pirelli Diablos...

Fine, I get that they might warm up slow. No debate, but no tire is gonna be warm the second you start moving.

I piss on mine to warm them up before I ride... just in case.

Good plan, you've always been a resourceful guy. I admire that.

My Corsa III's stuck amazingly well. If they only would have better wear characteristics.

I'm still on my first set. 3,000+ miles and counting.

Yeah, I got 3K out of my first rear. It was ok yet, but I wanted a new one for my track day. I got 3300 miles on that after the track day, and total 6300 on the front.
With the price of them, I can't justify them for the riding I do. I will get over twice the wear out of a set of Powers for less money. I can deal with a little less grip.

I'll probably go back to Michelin when these are done. Road 2's or Pilot Power. Always loved the PP's.

Yeah, I have about 4500 miles on the PP's so far, and still over 50% on the rear.

If you are spinning the rear tire, that does not count. The front or rear must slide sideways.

If I leave my house on both the Pirellis Diablos and The BT-016s at the same time and apply the exact same amount of throttle at the same time, the BT-016s WILL spin up and out sooner. They will also take longer to come up to temp. Now the BT-002RSs on the other hand...

I've ran many sets of Diablos and then the 1 time on the 016s. The Diablo is a harder tire by a good margin.

Oh yeah, no big deal. My observation though is that PP's heat up much quicker. That's all I'm saying. In So Cal you don't need to worry about that. I miss L.A... fuck!

Perhaps but I believe that they are better, quicker in the cold.

DLIT 01-18-2010 10:18 PM

My 016s spin out the rear pretty easy, especially when they're not fully hot. They'll do it when they're hot anyways, it's a little harder. I was trying to power wheelie with them on and they would spin more than they would grip. Overall, I still like them. Did one track day on 'em and felt no negative feedback at all. So good, I'm gonna try some Bridgestone DOTs for my next track day.
