The best gloves money can buy
Sold my GP pros (never broke in the way I expected... fit wasn't quite right). Got a pair of held phantoms. They live up to the hype. AMAZING quality. I understand now why soooo many racers run these gloves. They are the shit.
Also grabbed a pair of teknic speedstar knee pucks to replace the shitty chicane ones that came with my pants... they were very thin and initially I didn't have them positioned quite perfectly and one time my leather touched and the edge of the puck, instead of the puck face itself and I almost crashed... These are nicer. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...2400Medium.jpg |
Those gloves are sick man. Nice buy
|
Held are some seriously nice gloves. Best in the business from what I've read.
|
I wish there was a place arund Vegas where I could try them on first. I'm gonna be going all out on some sick gloves when I get back.
|
I will have a set of Held Phantoms one day. I heart them.
|
Good to hear they are as good as people say.
|

I got mine from sportbiketrackgear... they list for 295, STG sells them for 280, I got them to give them to me for 230. I think I got a great deal. Quote:
The pucks look like they'll be great. Just replacing them on the pants I can tell they will be mo' betta. You can see in the bottom right of the old one how sharply they were wearing (I flipped them 180 degrees when I moved them to fix the position) and the scuff on my knee from when it touched down on the track. Pucker moment!!!!! I think some of this might have to do with my short legs and the R6's high peg height, even on the stock rearsets. Notice how I even trimmed some velcro off the chicane ones to move them up more. Comparing the two (camera phone pics, sorry): http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...0302081255.jpg http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...302081255a.jpg Lookin' good: http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...0302081257.jpg |
Good looking pucks. I'll probly get a set of those when the 2 pair I have now wear out.

I didn't get a knee down when I rode today, there was too much sand and salt. I am anxious to see how they slide and what feedback they give, though. Maybe next ride. |
Those pucks are ceramic, right? Those'll last longer than your old ones.
|
nice... what pants are those?
|
He has chicanes. Good lookin gloves man.
|
I've got a set of Buell pucks too...but they look just about identical to the Chicane pucks. I dont expect them to last long.

http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/l...cle_pants.html I looked at those a10's, and they're def a* low-end model... a lot of textile on there... and don't come with pucks... but it's your call. I would get the chicanes. I'm not sure, but I THINK the zipper zipped counterclockwise when I got them, and had to reverse it. Not sure, though. If you have an agvsport or joe rocket jacket, it's the opposite direction of those... those are the two jackets I have... Quote:

*Best* is a subjective word.
These are my gloves... Spidi Penta Sport Race gloves. Worth EVERY penny. We jokingly call them Bayliss gloves as they clip your pinky to your ring finger. I want to buy a few extra pairs just so I don't have to try and find them in the future... Oh, and don't let the price freak you out - I paid less than that. http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...s--604787.html |
