I went with diablo corsa IIIs and found them for 240 shipped... haven't had a chance to push them hard yet though. Very excited to do so. |

And let me know how you like the pirelli's, I'm up for a change. Italian rubber on Italian rims can't be too bad. |

I don't ride in the rain at all, call me a pussy but after I wrecked in it a couple years ago I just don't see the point. Obviously it would help my street racing skills like laurence fishuburne in biker boys but I can't afford a busa yet anyway. |

Great choice, you'll love them. |
I have no idea which tires I'm going with after the stockers wear out :idk:

i just got a set of super corsa i cant wait to put on... and a set of PR
|
donno, im pretty happy with my PP's. I'll try the CT's when i next need rubber this summer.
|
I thinking about getting the new Pirelli Rosso's next. Man,it's impossible to keep up with the new tires coming out these days!

As for the 2ct's, you'll love them, I did four trackdays on a set, two at Barber and two at Jennings and they stuck great. Til they didn't, and I lowsided. But I was pushing WAY too hard, 1:29's on tires with four days on them. I've done two days on a set since then and they're great. |
i cant wait to get settled in tn and have a good purpose to get 2ct's again

I've heard anywhere from 2000 to 6500 miles out of a set of III's, depending on your riding style. |

still think ND has the worst roads when it comes to riding enjoyment... when it comes to quality of pavement... AK is pretty bad... fuck'n troughs from all the studded tires... they don't ever repave the roads... just patch sections...

MO roads are pretty shitty. Gettin a little better on the superslab, but not the roads that matter.

Here. |
they our out for delivery today!!!:rockwoot:

CEO, thanks man, I'll keep my eyes on them, that's a hell of a lot cheaper than Power Races, I just wish they made a DC3 in a 160 for my tard.
|
Quote:
I just did a quick search and found the DC3 in a 160... but only European shops seem to sell them. Around 80GBP for a rear 160/60, which is about 160 US dollars. The shipping would probably fuck you though. |

Corsa IIIs only in 120, 180, 190 apparently. |

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/143/3...ed33242032.jpg The guy was trying to tell me that the Rosso would work better as a track tire than a 2ct. The he said I should buy Dragon Supercorsas. |
i just got a set of those, got any reviews?

I've done a total of six trackdays on 2ct's and I have always been very pleased. Between the two I'd go with the DC3, from what I've seen it's a better tire, but I don't have first hand experience. I have had plenty of experience on Pirelli, both Dragon Slicks and Dragon Supercorsa Pro's. I like Pirelli. Here's the thing, IMO, Michelin's hold great, til then don't, and they give almost NO warning. Pirelli's don't have quite the same traction, but when they slide they give you plenty of warning and are easy to control. Again, that's just my opinion on the tires, I could be way off base. |
was talking about the supercorsa's got a sc1 and sc2

shit i need to find some one to borrow them from then, they arent in the budget now
|

EDIT: I can't seem to find them, maybe they don't make them anymore. You can run them w/o warmers, but I wouldn't trust them past about two days. Or you could get some high-temp insulating material and make your own insulated covers. Take them to an upholstery place, it would be easy and cheap. |
just got them installed
they feel pretty good, turn in is effortless now to get the suspension set up:dthumb: |
wow, just took them for a legit ride...o man what a difference over the stock tires...these things really grip when they heat up...its like night and day almost!
How long do u usually wait before u dont have to be too too careful on new tires? 200 miles? |
Someone give me the low down on the plain Corsa's.

Or for street riding, gradually increase lean angle throughout the ride until you're using as much as you're comfortable with. I wouldn't just wail into your first turn dragging knee... might be a little slippery. |

I tore through my Diablos like a fat kid through a Dairy Queen ice cream cake... My 2ct's seem to be wearing slightly slower... Road 2's are next.

Granted, nothing but the stockers on the SV to compare to though. They grip, i've even had the 1125 leaned into a corner on cold concrete and hit a patch of sand. The recovered nicely with just a bit more lean. I'm confidant i could drag the pods on that bike before the tires let go!! not sure on milage, I've heard anywhere from 1600 to 6500 miles on them, all on 1125's. depends a LOT on riding style. |

thats what i was thinking after going threw a set of 2ct's over the course of a couple of weekends...

Here's about the cheapest I've been able to find Corsa 3s. At least for a 190/55.
http://www.absolutecycle.com/racesup...ategory_id=821 actually here. free shipping too. http://www.motonekoparts.com/Pirelli...s-p-17481.html |
still on the fence on whether i get 2ct's or dc3's for the gap. only fucking thing that bugs me is im gonna super slab it at least half the way down there, im not thinking 400 miles is gonna box out my tires too bad though. 2nd half down im gonna take the byways and try to get them broken in properly, cause odds are i wont have em put on until a week or 2 before the trip.
|
Run the PSI's on the high end for the slab portion.
|
didnt even occur to me, you are the man.
|
Yep, that'll help.
Either tire would be a good choice, you might like the DC3's better or you might like the 2ct's better, I'd say find which ever set you can get cheaper and try them out. If you're not happy, go with the other set next time. Check here for good prices on Michelins: www.sportbiketrackgear.com |

ive ridden PPs and loved em, but heard great things bout the corsaIII's. i may just flip a coin. |
www.tireexpress.com is even cheaper than SBTG.
But yes, powers or 2CT's will be cheaper than Corsa III's. And probably wear longer too... |
I might go back to the PP's after the Corsas are finished.

best anyone on badweb has gotten was 6K... and that was in the cold and sandy roads, so a lot of slow riding.
average seems to be around 2- 2.5K for the rear. about 3 for the front I may try pumping them up a bit for the commuting. like 38R 35F or so... |
hell i run mine around 38-35 and i've never had problems. felt awkward as hell when i went down to 36-34.
|
big twins eat tires, get used to it im toying with the idea of running a pp2ct in front and a road 2ct in the back should bump my milage alot
