I have ABS and I hands down LOVE IT!! I'm always trying to get it to engauge.

I wouldnt mind it on the vfr. Hmmmmm......now to see if the 6th gen system can be retro fitted to a 5th gen.

I was never a big fan of electronic gizmos on my motorcycles, but my Super Tenere has both ABS and Traction Control and I'll tell ya, I love 'em now.

I wouldn't mind having ABS at all. I can count a few times in the past where I wish I had them; one that could have ended really bad if I didn't force myself to pump the brakes. (I'm looking at you rainy weather rail road tracks)

Oh hells yeh I wish I had ABS, I've had a few close calls. Namely when I locked my rear up while passing trip on a bridge when he swereved back into the right lane after he waved me to pass him. And then this past winter when I locked up my front on ice.

Rangerscott 04-11-2012 09:53 PM

Are any of ya'lls control-able or able to be turned off?

Krabill 04-12-2012 09:24 AM

On the Super Tenere, the traction control has two selectable "on" modes, and can be switched off. The ABS is always on, but it works phenomenally well - even in the dirt.

I only have ABS on the GS, it can be turned off. I like being able to turn it off. I like sliding the rear.

Traction control is available on other models of the GS, but I wish I had ESA the electronic suspension package. Everyone seems to love that shit.

Or turn the handlebar and lean to one side.

I would buy a BMW 1300 S just for the ESA. Well yeah, for the rest of it too.
