They run pretty true I wear 11 1/2 - 12 in all my shoes my foot is actually 11 1/2 but wide so the 12 is usually a perfect fit in whatever I buy!..Hope that helps...I paid $280ish for the boots!

JARVIS518 11-30-2008 01:38 PM

damn, the suit is to small and the boots are to big

I'm going to have to do some foot measurments and get back to you. If I do take them how do you want to handle payment? Paypal?

Boots have been SOLD!!

A true "Euro 52" is actually a US 42, the Dianese suit is probably a 52 US. I'm 6'4" 225 and I wear a 50 US.

Im 5-11 189 :idk:

PhiSig1071 12-02-2008 12:59 AM

Then it might be a true Euro 52, that sounds about right for a US-42. at 5-11 and size 12 feet apparently your were just born to be a competitive bare-foot water ski-er.

Couldnt tell you. I have an alpinestars smk jacket and it fits real nice. Kind of tight to get on and off but fits perfect on the bike. Of course I ran track and cross country in a high school for a reason, Im not exactly a monster.

I'm 5'10" 195 and I wear a 42 in Teknic. It's tight...but it should be.

You must have broad shoulders! I'm 6'4" and 245 lbs and I also wear a 48. Of course different manufacturers often have different "cuts",My A* ,Joe Rocket and Dainese jackets are tighter than my Icon jackets.:idk:

PhiSig1071 12-03-2008 07:58 PM

Yeah, but that is more due to design than anything else. A-Stars and most Joe Rocket gear is based on race gear, whereas Icon is based on street stuff. I wish Icon made leathers, I bet they'd be bad ass.

I said "CUTS" fool!!! Hahaha! I'm with you on Icon making track gear! I think Jordan should split with Joe Rocket and develop a track line with Icon!!!

Because some brands (especially Alpinestars jackets) are baggy as shit. If you buy a 42 Alpinestars jacket, it'll feel like wearing a 46 Alpinestars suit. Dead serious, their jackets suck IMO ---- too baggy, and sleeves way too long.

I know a lot of hard-core track riders will disagree with me, based on the fact that Rossi, Stoner, and Hayden don't wear stuff like that, but I think Icon has some pretty bad-ass looking gear. Apply that same style to a decent track suit and I think it'd look awesome.

They must make different cuts of jackets, mine is far from baggy. Sleeves are the perfect length and the arms, chest and shoulders are all nice and snug, and Im far from fat or huge muscle wise. If anything the size 42 joe rocket speedmaster that I tried on was a hair looser than my a* smk.

Over200 12-03-2008 11:13 PM

So why don't one of you MoFo's buy this suit so I can go spend another $1200 on the one I want!!

Teknic is nice for the $$$ but I can assure once you wear Dainese doubt you would ever wear anything else!

I don't doubt it. My last suit was an IXS, it's Swedish and about the same quality as Dianese, I LOVED it, it had a full silk liner which made it easy to get on and off, and if you go down the silk wont give you a friction burn like other linings. Once I have the money I'm getting a custom suit done, probably by Syed, I visited their shop in Orlando and their stuff is beyond top-notch.

No doubt. My next suit will be a 1-piece. I'd like a custom deal...maybe a Vanson...but who knows. My 2-piece will do for a while.

PhiSig1071 12-10-2008 11:48 PM

Got the boots today, they look brand fucking new! Fit good too. If it's not raining tomorrow I'm going to try them out on the bike. Thanks for including the plastic toe-sliders, I have a tendency to drag toes on the 'tard and I doubt JGP would be realy happy with the metal ones!

was92v 12-16-2008 07:41 AM

I've got 2 Syed custom suits and they are the shit! Maybe a little less "refined" than A* or Dainese but very well made and they can (have) stand up to multiple crashes. My older suit was built in 1993 and has been crashed 5 times, Twice at slower (40ish) on the street and 3 times on the track, twice at around 80mph and once at over a hundred and they held up great.
I never had to visit a Dr from any of the get offs. The leathers still look good enough to wear and would pass any tech for track use still.
The A* and Dainese look and feel great but don't seem to crash as well.
I have never worm BB's leathers, but I know Bill, been to his shop, had him alter and repair my Syed's. His work and materials is top shelf.

I haven't gone with a full custom suit yet but my next purchase will be Syed.

I have had both them and BB do repairs for me in the past.

BB does good work also but I am 100% sold on Syed quality. I have been to their shop outside Orlando and they were very nice and very helpful.
