Harley stolen from bar tonight

It was a new Road King and the guy didn't even own the bike. He works at the dealership and was just borrowing the bike. The dumbass left the keys in it. The bike was there when I pulled up at 11:30, but gone at 2. The guy wanted us to help him look for it. I instantly wondered if Trip was in town. Hopefully, for this guy's sake, someone was just fucking with him, but I seriously doubt it. I'm thinking that bike is gone.

Avatard 08-08-2010 03:17 AM

Ouch.

Particle Man 08-08-2010 09:56 AM

Yikes- that's gonna hurt his paycheck...

pauldun170 08-08-2010 10:56 AM

So many levels of dumbass

101lifts2 08-08-2010 08:01 PM

Gas Man 08-08-2010 09:30 PM

Oh, this guy was hammered. The bartender asked him if he was sure he rode the bike there.

I'm sure the bike got hauled off in a truck, or maybe it was ridden away, but I'm sure leaving the keys on the bike made it a hell of a lot easier. I'd be willing to bet this guy loses his job over it, as I know the owner's of the shop and know they won't be real nice about it.

Trip 08-08-2010 11:53 PM

Hey I dont steal bikes. Thats derf.

CrazyKell 08-09-2010 08:37 AM

Someone recently told me if you leave your keys in your bike your insurance is void.

This was after I left my keys in my bike for about 3 days sitting in my parent's driveway. Whoops!

Cruzergirl 08-09-2010 09:13 AM

Easy to forget the keys in most bikes. I don't understand keys in the HD though. Not needed except to lock the ignition, right? So the fact that he actually left the keys in the bike is full of extra fail. Dumb move. I'd fire him too.

always good to get hammered and then drive someone elses bike

I'd fire his ass in a heartbeat for it. no questions asked, in fact for leaving the keys in the damn thing I'd almost consider saying he stole it and gave it to someone he knew with the keys. sounds like a complete tool. I know a lot of guys who don't lock their ign which is almost as bad but there is usually someone watching the bikes so not much chance of them getting stolen. still not something i'd do.

I hate a thief but they may have actually done this guy a favor. :idk:

karl_1052 08-09-2010 12:08 PM

I wonder if he left the keys in it, and called a buddy to have it stolen.

He sounds like a dumbass to begin with, and too stupid to keep employed.

Gas Man 08-09-2010 11:18 PM

I tell u this. I rarely lock my ignition. But I hv security tt keeps u from starting it. Also once u turn it on or tilt it, the alarm goes bonkers.

He didn't tell that you gave him the keys. He just said he took it out. You're the one that told on yourself.

Smittie61984 08-18-2010 12:17 PM

It's a Harley. All you have to do is put out an alert to bike mechanics and they are bound to see it shortly.

Avatard 08-18-2010 12:49 PM

...Or just follow the trail of oil.
