Triumph Daytona 675

Anyone ride one of these? I think they look sweet but the low torque numbers scare me. 54 ft/lb peak torque. 123 hp though I love the black LE with the gold decals.

JoJoYZF 04-25-2008 11:29 PM

All I know about em is that they look awesome and are very very tall

Dave 04-25-2008 11:55 PM

yeah but that 54 is supposed to show up REEEEAAAAL early

p00kienrayray 06-02-2008 02:24 AM

3 cyl gives the best of both worlds: low end grunt and high end scream. did a demo ride on it along with the 848 at the local duc dealership. felt better than the 848 hands down! but sounds and looks nowhere near as nice as the duc.

Dnyce 06-02-2008 02:57 AM

DLIT 06-02-2008 03:05 AM

Dnyce 06-02-2008 03:08 AM

Narrow? Compared to an I4 maybe. Not compared to my 650R or the 1125R.

Physically narrow. And, yeah, it proly translates to quick transitions.

p00kienrayray 06-02-2008 01:07 PM

Ducati dealership in la brea. They have their big demos once a month but from what one of the dealers told me, you can try out their demo bikes any time.

But your right about the narrowness. You can tell just by looking at it.

Dnyce 06-02-2008 01:25 PM

looks like im heading to la brea-

NONE_too_SOFT 06-02-2008 01:40 PM

ya, it is skinny, but not really a bad thing.

Best looking lamps in the game.

pickle.of.doom 06-02-2008 03:18 PM

Dyno does, and loves it. Its salvage title now, so its his track bike and he put the R6 back on the street. Ask him about it over on wos.

Low torque? The 2007 CBR600RR puts out 107hp, and 46 lb/ft. The RR doesn't make over 40 lb/ft until past 8,000. And the magazines thought the original Hurricane 600 in 1987 was fast with 70hp, and 37 lb/ft.

Who said the 1125 is narrow?!?!?
It's kinda a fat pig. Not nearly so much as drewps RC, but still
My buddies R1 is far narrower, my SV is narrower.

Really? The 1125R doesn't feel much wider then my 650R. Then I sit on a GSXR or ZX6R and it feels like a fucking pig. The R6 and R1 have me folded up humping the tank, so I can't tell how the rest of the bike feels. The triumph is close to the R6, but a little easier, and narrower- and it looks sooo much better.

Seat area on a 1125 is most definatly wider than any super sport bike. Also, it is a lot flatter ie more comfortable.
Easiest way to tell this is with both feet on the ground "standing" upright, not in a riding position.
