Bunch of Wusses
Yes, I know it was 41 degrees this morning in the Shenandoah Valley; I was there, two others from another board were there, and we rode, turned on the grip heaters and made a lot of hot coffee stops (and associated bladder breaks) and rode much of the back roads around Catoctin State Park ( http://www.nps.gov/cato/ ). and managed to find some of the gnarliest, switchbackin', high-speed-low-drag, up-and-down-de-mountain roads I've been on in a while (you suckers that live near the Gap, shut-up).
Ya'll shoulda been there.... Bunch 'a leakers......... |
 Sounds awsome, In my part of Shenandoah Valley its ben raining hard with flood warnings since tuesday.

This is where we went http://www.mapquest.com/maps/thurmon...:::::f:EN:m:/e Plus, we rode a lot of the twisty stuff in the middle of the circle up and down the mountain. |
I rode when it was 16 degrees out with NO heat grips(Though I have them now FTW!!!). I was out for about an hour and looks like the Michelin man rolling down the road(Despite I was on a Avon and Pirelli)
Other than the wind in my area everything was nice. The Gap was nice and the Georgia MOuntains where nice. The best part is because everyone was wussin out becuase of the weather the roads were pretty much abandoned(In GA atleast) with no cops in sight. |
ya know... damn... I would have gone but... uh... Korea is kinda far for an afternoon commute ;)
sounds fun though... |
would have loved to have been there OTB.
|
Damn you, you hit 77. And you were really close to where I picked up the Buell (boonsboro).
|
Yesterday was my first day riding this year without longjohns under my leathers. But in Colorado, you don't put them away yet. It's supposed to snow tomorrow.
I rode Lookout Mt. yesterday and met a rider on a Yamaha RZ350. For you youngsters, it's a water-cooled, two cylinder, two-stroke. It was red and white and I think it was an 83. I asked if it had Kenny Robert's signature. It didn't. I took a wiff of the exhaust after he started it. That brought back memories. We rode together down the mountain rather quickly. |
Yeah, we had snow saturday, and I was riding yesterday.
Stupid weather can't make up it's mind! |
