Time to race - WSBK Philip Island 02/27/22 *SPOILERS*

So................

1st race of the year, and it's being held at (in my worthless opinion), the most scenic track in all of racing...Gotta also say this is one of the most anticipated WSBK seasons in many years...
--lots of riders on new bikes
--Factory Ducati isn't on the grid
--Factory Kawasaki is
--Will Biaggi pick up where he left off?
--How will Haga do on the Aprilia?
--Will Rea finally win it all?
--Will Corser get back to championship status?
--Lots more, so let's hear it :D

GO Eugene! GO Joan! GO Haslam!

Checa is going to be tough this year if Ducati is still developing factory parts for the private teams. I had completly underestimated that without a factory effort that they wouldnt put any development work in.

Toseland needs to wake up it seems. And Sykes as well...

Checa AND the liberty boys. Who'd have thought a scratch built privateer team would go so well out of the box? Of course, scoring guintoli may have had a lot to do with that

I was just gonna ask ya Dave if you'd be e-mailing this one out...:dribble:

oh and I appreciate ya feeding the torrent links to me...:beers:

P.I. has always been kind of a Ducati track as well. Fast, flowing, and windy, somehow the Ducs are right at home there. Should be a war tho...I think Maxmillian may be uncharacteristically keeping some in reserve. I really want Eugene to do well tho...

Race 1: Checa, Biaggi, Haslam. Checa by a mile, Biaggi by a mile and a half, then Haslam.

Race 2: Checa, Biaggi, Melandri. All within a second or so of each other.

Trip 02-27-2011 05:36 PM

Checa walked the dog on em.

Haslam may get the first win for BMW this year. 3rd and 5th, not a bad weekend.

Not bad at all, the near race length biaggi melandri battle was great. I'm sure laverty will adjust quickly as well

Mono might not kill you but it still fucks you up badly. The poor guy was puking between races.

Seriously. I can't even imagine how he managed to finish much less maintain the focus to fight his way to sixth

And what was Toselands excuse?

I like the way the season has started out. Mad tight racing with lots of different players. It's going to be fun watching how certain tracks play into certain bikes strengths and watching all the riders adjust. Saw good stuff outta Melandri, Haslam, Rea, Laverty, even Fabrizio was hustling last years GSXR pretty good.

Very limited dry testing time and some mechanical issues. That's from the team italia manager, not toseland

No love for max? He seemed to be far more willing to battle this year

I expected Max to be there. After how many premiere class runners up he should be in the top f every race.

Toseland's swallow a gear like Corsers? That was there excuse for his offing...
