Wanted: GPS Unit for cage
Just throwing this out there.
I would be interested in picking up a gps unit if anyone else is thinking about upgrading to a new one. Thought it would be useful on my drive to Alaska. :rockwoot: Thanks |

I went with the Magellan Crossover. It is waterproof has settings for road , marine and cross country hiking. It was $200 at refurb depot. Works well on the bikes snd in the car. I haven't tried it in a boat yet

if you want to plan your route on your computer and then load them into the GPS... you'll have to go with a Garmin that's got a model number higher than 700. just FYI
I do have a E-Trex Legend that will do that too... cost me about 250... but for a car it's display is on the small side... as it's main purpose is hiking. I know Trip recently went through a little issue with car GPS's... you might pm him. or he could stop being a bitch and chime in... :idk: |
Just bought this.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/as...0/killipark-20 Also got http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Portabl..._bxgy_e_text_b http://www.amazon.com/GARMIN-010-108..._bxgy_e_text_b I did as much research and figured I would take my chances. Thanks to what Ebbs told me I knew to with a 7 series or higher for trip planning. I also made sure that the unit will be compatible with my BB Storm so thats good. Should arrive on Monday with the bike carrier, I will literally pack that shit up and leave. :rockwoot: |
