JJP Yamaha YZF-R1 2004

Hand built by former AMA Superbike champion Jamie James. AKA "The Ragin' Cajun". This bike was featured on the December 2005 cover of Cycle World magazine, and is Jamie's personal rider.

Wheels: BST Carbon fibre rims. 6.0 x 17" rear, 3.5 x 17" front.

Brakes: AP racing system up front, with dual bore master cylinder with adjustable lever position and leverage ratio. Four piston calipers and 320mm floating rotors. Braking wave rotor on the rear, with a custom valve spring installed on the master cylinder, to reduce brake pedal sensitivity.

Engine: For the sake of reliability and street manners, this engine is mostly stock, except for extensive head work done by NASCAR tuner Robert Reeves. The valve seats have been re-machined, and the ports cleaned up. The combustion chamber has been blended to increase flow and flame travel. Dynojet Power Commander. STM slipper clutch. Bazzaz Performance Design QS-4 quick shifter.

Exhaust: Akrapovic Evo 4 into 1 into 2 titanium race system, with carbon fibre cans.

Performance: The bike produces 162 HP at the rear wheel, and 78 lbs. of torque, as tested by Cycle World. Top speed is 188 mph.
1/4 Mile: 9.76 sec. @ 149.48 mph
0-30 mph: 1.2 sec.

Wow, that's sick. I spent a long time (unsuccessfully) hunting down a Jamie James helmet.

AMJ, is the current owner of this bike in NC? If so, I've talked with him several times and have even sat on this very bike.
