Got my haynes service manual yesterday
Wow, great asset, especially going from a handful of old PDF documents to this. I wasnt really willing to tackle my carbs and some other stuff with out a little more help, but this thing goes into some serious detail. Tons of pics, and so much information on my own specific bike. scheduled maintenance, tuning, wireing diargrams in color, it even gives a model history and specifications through the different years.
If you have an older bike, and want to keep it running like it did when it was new, pick up a service manual for sure, i cant wait to get my tools out when i get some time now. prolly the cheapest thing for your bike that will keep it healthier than any after market mod. |
a good service manual is a must for DIYers

Haynes manuals are good, but the factory manuals are always the best. But yes, having any sort of service manual is a huge plus.

Now that I have some money I can finally get the one for my bike. How much did you pay nts? Best Ive found for mine so far is new ones on ebay for like 32 shipped.

I agree with Pickle...
clymers are pretty good too. |
They don't make a Haynes for my bike, but I have the factory service manual printed and bound. It's cash money.
