Love it.

Looking at 2011 vs 2012, they didn't change too much...And the spec sheets are almost identical :(

So they really changed just the instrument panel.

It is still a nice looking bike.

Homeslice 09-24-2011 03:04 PM

An improvement.

Porkchop 09-24-2011 03:54 PM

Yuck. Too UJM. I liked the fucked up, punched in the face, round front end of the latest gen.

Uh it still has that look. The fairings haven't changed, just the lights.

Corey 09-24-2011 07:22 PM

They look a little bland.

The fairings have changed. Just slightly. The lower is different completely, and the mid fairing has slight changes.

derf 09-25-2011 12:09 AM

But that's typical honda

G-Rex 09-25-2011 08:28 AM

Congratulations Honda!

You took what started as a very nice motorcycle, made it ugly, and then made it even uglier, and want to tell us you improved it? F%$^ off. If it's ugly, the improvements don't matter.

You did it to the VFR too.

I hate you Honda.

marko138 09-25-2011 11:18 AM

I can dig it.

BMW called, they want their paint job back.

Avatard 09-25-2011 06:29 PM

Looks like a Transformer. Does it also turn into something else, less ugly?

Seems like all manufacturers have done this.

I like the black frame on the 2012.

Damn youre right, I didn't look closely enough.

Looks like they took my advice, and made the side vent less straight-up-and-down (which was a retarded look that made the bike look slow).

101lifts2 09-26-2011 01:13 AM

I think it looks the same...but I like it. Hopefully, the suspension/chassis is better and has more power.

It became angular and pointy in the headlights and intakes. Just like most of the current Jap sportbike offerings. It may just be me, but most of the sportbikes I have ever fell in love with were round and curvy like the R1, the 2005-2008 zx6r's, or my first bike the 99 R6. I'm weird, but that is why they dont make 1 bike for everybody to buy.

Interesting about the ABS. I wonder how well they'll work.

I like the old Repsol but am I the only one who wishes they'd come out with a new Smoking Joes Edition?

Dig the black frame!

03 was the 954.

Anyway, I finally got to try one of these yesterday. I really liked it besides the fact that it nearly melted my right toe slider. Honda really needs to direct the engine heat somewhere else:scratch:

I also tried the CB1000R (Awesome) and then got my girlfriend on back for a cruise on a GL1800 GoldWing. Riding a couch at 100MPH is pretty fun.
