AWESOME!!! Thanks guys... The only thing that would make those more perfect is one with the rear plastics removed and the seat on.

Here ya go lazy ass. Why didn't you just take the tail apart on yours? It took me 7 minutes from the time I walked outside to the time I came back in. Just ignore the Marchesini wheels and titanium exhaust. :D
These are 640x480s. If you want the 3500x2700 hi-res, pm me your email address. What are you doing anyway? |
You're the man!
This is why I don't just walk outside and take mine apart right now. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag, but let's just put it this way... I don't like pretty plastics and flowing lines. I think all motorcycles should be as ugly and vicious looking as possible. My thoughts right now are on the new BMW concept bike. I give you... Need to finger out some sort of tail section because as I suspected the gap betweent he subframe top rail and the seat looks a little goofy... The one picture posted in here looks liked a hacked and improvised tail on a solo seat... Something along those lines would be sweet. |
OSP... one thing to think about is what are you gonna do for the road trips you're talk'n about with Drewpy?
My recommendation, if your gonna chop off the sub frame behind the seat, and you're even slightly inclined in fabrication, create a way to mount a temp platform for your bags. Something you can take off when you want, but throw on for the long trips. doesn't have to be anything hard... just something that holds 50lbs or so. If you create it so it mounts and sits high enough, you won't have to worry about the brake lights as they'll be visible under the platform. something like this... :idk: |
That sub frame is thick. Maybe you considered this: But you might try to find a subby on ebay...in case you sell this bitch someday...you can put it back to stock and probly fetch more cash than a custom jobby.

B)Why would you hack apart such a faired bike when you could tinker with a Buell or Tuono a bit easier??? |
Quote:
B) he doesn't have a Buell or Tuono... and thinks every bike should be black and should have so few parts that you wonder how they work. |

No shit shirlock..... but black and simple.... theres gotta be something simpler to work with than a TL. |
Nice DePuniet reference.

This might end up being a summer project. By the time I am in good enough shape to ride again, it'll be cross-country time... So it might all have to wait. Depends on how motivated I get and how quickly I heal. |

You like bikes black, naked and ugly You like women (girls) young hot and naked You like to throw them all in holes in your back yard dug by a shovel. The material the shovel is made of depends on how you felt for said girl. |
