Looking for helmets

hey guys i have a new habayusa motorcycle for now i am looking for a motorcycle helmets...I want the quality one, can you give me some points if what to buy?

fit fit fit fit. get one that fits your head right, that's all you got to worry about. If you don't know how to find out if it fits your head right, find the best customer service local dealership and ask for the helmet expert.

What Trip said.

Also what kind of a budget are you on? Are you on an Arai/Suomy budget or a Scorpion/HJC budget? You will generally get more features and a lighter helmet when you spend more money.

at least now a days even the budget lids are prety good at protecitng your noggin.

Im not going to try to look for it with my phone, but there's a link somewhere around here for a euro site that independently tests helmets... Lists prices and whatnot, but its all Euro based so some of them can't be found here in the states... I think it's called SHARP or something... Pretty interesting how some of the really expensive helmets don't protect as well as the cheapo ones...

This - and imagine how the weight is going to feel on your head/neck for hours at a time. A helmet that seems light in the store might not be so light after sitting on your noggin for a long time (read: neck ache).

What Trip said... its not so much the brand or schweet grahics. Helmet brands all fit different shape noggins. Some more oval, some taller and skinnier, etc etc.

A dealer may only be supported by one or two brands. Find yourself a motorcycle superstore that will have a whole motorcycle helmet department, and just start trying on. When you find a brand that fits the best, then start trying on by price point and color. We have an Iron Pony superstore here in town that is great for that.
