Second First Ride

...of the season!:dthumb:

Roads were dry, little salt, little sand. Couple small streams from melting snow. Felt soo damn good to get out!!! I had to really concentrate on keeping the bike calm- it wanted to go out and play hard. Can't say I blame it. We did get a bit carried away in a few corners. Felt the tires starting to slip and grip. About 40 degrees (and dropping) and 15 minutes into the ride back... Lots of dry salt imbedded in the road. Some buggy trails about- why is it horses always have to let it go in the middle of the road? Especially in turns?! Somebody needs to paper train those suckers.

I need to get out to the high school and relearn how the bike handles. The SM bars changed the low speed characteristics a lot.

Any other northerners make it out yet? If you have a year-round riding season, just STFU!:plzdie:

The first ride of the season always feels real good, remember to shake out the cobwebs carefully though. You can get real rusty after few months off.
