Anyone know how long the average life of a V Star 1100 is?

Curious...
I know twins outlast inlines, one of my TL's had something like 72k on it when I sold it. I used to think that was allot of miles but now I realize that it's not. So, anyone got a clue?

IMHO, Vtwins attract a more mature and older rider, I really dont see too many bikes that have issuses that don't stem from either being down due to rider error or due to lack of maintenance. Both of which can somewhat be attributed to rider experience and maturity.

And a rider who takes care of his bike, and doesnt wreck it can keep it around forever. take a look at thirdgenxi who is over 150k on his f4i

damn 150k on an F4i :o
Yea, this bike looks really clean and well kept. Only 18k miles in 7 years.

Those 1100's are pretty solid and there's a healthy aftermarket for them.
Stars in general, for that matter.
Of course, I ride a Warrior so I could be biased.

With good maintenance, the bike will WELL outlive you unless it gets totalled by someone. but that comes back to rider maturity too.

My GF's uncle has an 01 with well over 65K miles on it. No problems.

So I'm on my way over to pick up the V Star and guess wut? In this dry hell hole of a land a fucking monsoon comes out of nowhere. I literally drove 6 1/2 hours grabbing my vehicle from where it was stored back to where I live. The dude with a V Star lives a few miles from me. I made it to my exit and boom, hail and gusting winds of 60+. The last hail storm that hit here the other day left loads of cars totaled, my bossman just bought a brand spanking new challenger not 2 weeks ago and now it's in the shop having the entire body redone from damage.
I think I'll wait an hour or so before heading over to pick this thing up :)

Yeah... riding in hail... highly overrated.
