Got me thinking... what kind of miles you get out of a tank of gas??

I get anywhere from 200-240 miles

100-120...my gsxr is terrible...

Mr Lefty 04-08-2010 04:34 AM

190 I start looking for gas... but I can do around 220-230...

Depending on the riding really. I've seen tanks go as low as 130, and I've also stretched tanks out past 200.

If its an aggressive riding day then the gas goes fast, just cruising down the highway at 55 then it wont be as thirsty.

I've found that 160 really is my safe mileage, but last year at the rally, I hit an all time mpg low at just over 140, actually was very surprising to need as much gas as I did, and at the track I got down to 130

I start looking around 150-160. Low fuel light usually around 175.

I've pushed to 225 on the Busa before. I don't do that on a regular basis though. I'll normally start looking around 175. I don't like going into the reserve unless I have to.

Light comes on at around 110. I could stretch to 150...but at that point I'm on borrowed time.

Cruzergirl 04-08-2010 07:59 AM

I start looking around 140. I really don't know how far I can go since I've never stretched it. I've got a 4.5 gallon tank. Every time I fill I've put no more than 3.8 gallons in the tank but I really don't want to find out the "drop dead" mileage...

210-240, depends on what I am doing, I could probably shrink it into the high 100s if all I did was gap miles.

Phenix_Rider 04-08-2010 08:16 AM

Nominally 205. But I've been as high as 215-220 I think. I don't like doing that though- like Marko said, borrowed time.
