Motorcycle Lift?

So I wanted to get my husband a motorcycle lift, and my in laws said they got one for around $100 at Harbor Freight. It'll be cheap, but it'll do.

He works on our old Honda in his off time and he really just needs to be able to move it out from the corner work on it, then move it back.

Now, I made the mistake of thinking Harbor Freight would have one option for a cheap motorcycle lift.

Can y'all help me pick one out? The two I was looking at on the first page were the second one on the list (yellow) or the 13th one on the list (aluminum).

Harbor Freight is cheap shit.

That doesn't mean that I don't buy from them. It does mean that when I buy from them, I don't expect it to be great quality or to last forever. I get as much bang for as little bucks as possible.

That said; I'd go with the cheaper of the 2 (yellow one). Use a 20% coupon found in any moto magazine, and be out the door for about $90.

Why spend the extra $70 for what still amounts to cheap shit?

I have the yellow one... works like a champ... it pretty much seems identical to the Craftsman one my uncle paid 3x as much for... The only thing that sucks is that if you got anything running under the frame, like exhaust (unless it's a Buell), it won't work.

Oh, and you should wait for a better deal... I got mine for $65 shipped.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. We don't need a lot of life out of it that's why I wanted to go cheap.

From Harbor Freight? It's gonna be a xmas present, so I have time. I was planning on just going to the store to get it instead of having it shipped.

Yep, the exact same one as in the picture... Of course, that was probably 6 years ago now that I think about it... YMMV

I'm sure it has gone up in price.

In fact, I've noticed that even the prices on their coupons in the bike rags have jumped $10 - $20 over the last few months.

HF stuff is fine for the home shop. ( I have there lift air over hydraulic table lift) Not something you want if you are running a shop but fine for the weekend garage guy I have had good luck. ( I have how ever avoided their wheel chalks.

Yeah, you're right... $99 w/ in-store coupon isn't bad... and if I had to do it again, I'd pay that...

The Craftsman version is only a hair over $100.
