something me and a buddy made for a weekend project

one of my friends managed to come up with a set of blueprints for a complete cafe racer seat setup that he wanted for his 1975 RD350 2 stroke bike, and around 3-4pm yesterday he came over and all hell broke loose with fiberglassing mayhem.

total I think was something like 16 hours in the whole piece, which came out a little rougher than I'd like it to, but I believe we can bondo the low areas and form it perfectly before its time to paint it. my buddy is the one holding the tail in the pictures. I dont think it came out too bad for being our first time fabricating in fiberglass material.

Before I even read your text, I immediately thought cafe racer.

how bout a picture that showcases its application, instead of one that makes your friend look like he's on acid and about to jump down a pudding slide in lollypop land.

I've tried to fiberglass before, from the look of this kid,my guess is they didn't have adequate ventilation...

ultimately, it will be on an RD350 as the seat setup. the pic isnt the actual bike, but you get the idea how it should look when we get done.
