That's what I thought.... I heavily researched this deal originally (this is my 3rd GoPro) and for the money, I felt that they had the best deal overall...

True dat! I don't like the way they look either...but they do work extremely well. I don't know for sure but is the Contour line water proof? That was a big deal for me.

I've looked at the Contour HD and I think that either would make a decent set-up for sure. I might buy the LCD screen to help me set camera angle and then take it off for actual recording as I hear...
