The main reason I like the MT21s is because the front tire tread isn't directional. The 606s are. So, as the front starts to wear unevenly, I flip it around. I can make one front outlast 2-3...

They're very popular for the KLR. A buddy of mine loves them. I use Pirelli MT21s, but they don't make a 17" rear.
