I watched it the other night with my husband and our best doggie friend Harris-the-dog. He's a black lab... It was a decent movie. One of Owen Wilson's better performances as I find him to be a character actor and not a good one. I wasn't too choked up. I cried more when Jennifer Aniston came home and fell apart after finding out she wasn't pregnant the first time.
I liked how nutty the dog was. I don't think any one person would have put up with the insane destroying of furniture/things. I think they must have put dog crack on props to make him that crazy.
I loved the older dog more in the end. But I like to take care of older, sickly creatures.
Anyway, it was an "okay" movie. I've been told the book is better. We both hugged our huge baby after the flick, but he gets tonnes of affection on a normal day.
One thing, I know I am not looking forward to the day he goes to doggie heaven. I've already asked my parents if he can be buried in their back yard. He loves their house, the huge garden.. it's either that or their property in the woods. There's a 200+ year old tree there in the middle of everything... She'll look over him and keep him safe.
Anyway, I gotta go hug my dog.
