yeah we'd be better off taking the name mike hicks off the list. then when some cat named mike hicks blew up a plane, everyone could scream, "why the hell didn't the TSA do anything about him?"
it's a lousy situation, uncomfortable for everyone, and there is no perfect answer.
BTW ever been walked through a boarding tunnel only to arrive on the tarmac at an airport? Then before boarding you're told to stand by your bags so they can check each bag with dogs? dog sits and they're going through your shit right there. Oh yeah never mind the guys standing there with machine guns.
that was a european country 20 years ago. happened on one of the flights I was on. we're not the only ones who have inconveniences while flying.
