Default FS: '48 Harley in Islamorada, FL

A friend of mine is selling his Harley. It's a 1948 45ci Flathead, basically a civilian version of the WLA Army Harleys of WWII. Rigid, Three Speed, Jockey Shift, Kick-Start. The only concession to modernization is the front end, which is off a '65, which has a hydraulic disc brake and a more modern fork, rather than the girder front end that came standard on the original. It's a rider, absolutely NOT a trailer queen, he rides it very regularly.

I know this isn't *quite* his target audience, but I figured I'd toss it up here just in case.

He's asking $12k firm.

If I had the extra cash sitting aorund I would buy this bike in half a heartbeat. It's an absolute classic!
