Well hopefully nobody got wet. I know I did at the bro's property hanging siding... twice as a matter of fact.

I knew if I didn't ride it wouldn't rain. That's my luck. Was there a nice turn out? When did it end? That was my biggest thing. Especially sense I got soaked shortly after lunch down here.
No it ended up raining at the end on everyone's ride home. Not real bad for me but I know Dyno had to go to Bay City and hopefully rode clear of the weather. Those going West got hit the hardest but it was a brief hard rain.

The event was a complete success execution wise, ride wise, no mechanical issues, no crashes. Everyone loved the route we took - it was a nice easy back road route around a couple of lakes and through Gregory, Stockbridge, Northfield, etc. Wasn't a usual WOS weekend Twisty Assault but that wasn't the intention of the ride.

Unfortunately the weather scared alot of people off. We ended up with 17 bikes - 6 from WOS.

The day started out with a very nice spread at Novi Bowl. They had muffins, bagels, donuts, coffee, juice, etc. They were gracious enough for us to use their bar for registration.

We sent the first group out around 9:45am. Second group followed around 10:30am.

Weather was great for the ride. The bbq at the park was great as well.

The only key missing ingredient was attendance.

Those that attended included members from Redline, DSB, bikerornot forum and some family and friends.

I took some pictures and I will post them up when I get time to get them off my camera.

Bottom line it was a great event which we are going to repeat in the next 4-6 weeks. We are going to team up with some additional people and we are going to do some additional advertising. We already have 99% of the supplies since we had to be ready today for up to 100-200 bikes. So that part of the expense is already spent might as well do it again. So keep posted for more details to come. We learned alot from our first attempt at pulling off such an event and we are going to put it to good use.

If anyone would still like to donate you can do so via paypal to: mudpuppy@wideopensportbikes.com

Just mark it "Ride for Jay Donation".
