Intrepid tuner Manhart Racing doesn't just tune BMW's to be faster, it also tunes BMW models that don't necessarily exist. Take, for example, what you see here: a BMW M3 E91 Estate.

BMW never put an M3 Touring into production and by the looks of this final product, maybe they should have. But 'M3' in the eyes of Manhart is an interesting creature. In being a true German tuner, the firm shoehorned in the E60 M5's 5.0L V-10 in place of the high-revving 4.0L V-8 that the M3 usually touts. It's a type of engine transplant Manhart's mechanics have become renowned for in the tuning arena.

On top of that, a significant tweaking was deemed proper, so they installed a full racing exhaust system and ECU controller for a grand total of 542 hp -- or 42 horses more than stock. The coveted 62 mph mark whisks by in a claimed 4.3 secs and its top speed is said to be a mind boggling 201 mph.

Mind you, the M5's seven-speed DCT, as well as its full LSD were also included in the mad scientist conversion in order to attain optimal performance. As icing on the cake, the M3's axles, steering setup, and suspension were all carried over to the E91 Touring chassis.
Like Beverly Hills plastic surgeons, Manhart installed the M3's aerodynamics and fenders for the true M factory look. It sits low, wide, and menacing thanks to an upgraded Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension matched with 20-in. RAD Monza forged wheels. A set of massive six-pot front, four-pot rear Stoptech brake calipers keep speed in check.

Once inside, front passengers are wrapped in handsome BMW Performance bucket seats, while rear passengers are welcomed by a bench seat donned in Alcantara. Carbon fiber and leather adorn all corners of the "M3's" cabin.

Want one? Well, as you can imagine, scooting your buddies and their luggage to realms usually occupied by exotic cars doesn't come cheap. Try around $177,725 to get one in your garage.

Fuckin' sick!
