I'm sorry (although not surprised) to hear about the bad luck with the signal trigggers, guys.
I know in Arizona (where I used to live) state law says that if a light doesn't change for you after a
reasonable period of time you can treat it as a malfunctioning signal and run it when it is safe to do so. I've actually successfully used that defense in traffic court and at the roadside, but YMMV.
