the stich seems to hold up well worn the weak point being the zippers and neck. My frieldsheer is also pretty good, as long as I remember to close the vents, only time I got wet in that was during rain that was bad enough to forever people over to thee shoulder, and even then it took over am hour to get wet.
I do get that damp feeling no matter what, but always attribute it to just being really moist air
