"Short ram" intakes, lol
In the car world, why do aftermarket companies use the phrase "short ram intakes" to describe intakes that do anything BUT collect ram air? All they are are pipes with a cone filter. Nothing is being rammed, there is no pressurization going on, so WTF? Whoever came up with that term should be shot.

Actually, that IS a ram air system. OK, maybe the seal between the hood scoop and the intake isn't airtight, but it's a lot closer to "ram air" than the shitty aftermarket products I'm talking about.
