Default gas question

wanna see what you guys think about this. my futura has been put up since novemeber and i never put any fuel stablilizer in it. I didnt think winter would be as bad as it was here and it kinda slipped my mind. So now I am going tobe doing an oil change and prepping the bike. Think I could get away with the gas in there, its only about one gallon, so I could put in 3 or 4 gallons of fresh gas or should I drain the tank?

Just fire it off - have you started it all all this winter? It hasn't been that long, It should be fine. Garaged?

Dump in some Seafoam, and run most of the gas out. If no probs with the carbs, fill it up with fresh gas and GO!

if you left gas in the carbs (which is sounds like) then you might as well just fire that baby off and see what happens. It should be fine. If it doesn't fire right off, then the gas in the tank isn't the issue, the carbs will be your issue more than likely.

Also - you can open the gas cap and smell the gas - if it still smells like gas, you're A-OK

Its fuel injected if that would matter vs carbs. I kinda figured since theres not much in there 4 plus gallons of fresh gas would dilute it anyway.

definatly try running it before adding more gas. That way if you have issues, there is less gas to drain out later.
And like I said earlier, a slight stumble may be cured by some Seafoam.
