Default Poll:Should I or should'nt I?

Ok, I have a 1985 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 5-speed. The car is almost completely stock, the engine was freshened and a previous owner painted the engine bay(poorly) and what was removed(smog and some trim I have, yes...I have all of the original smog equipment. I am torn, I know there were millions of these cars made(figuratively) and most have been customized to some extent and I wanna do some things to MY car, but is it worthy of keeping stock because of the rarity(is it?) or should I shoot the moon?

P.S. forgive the spelling...its a 2 valium and 2 vicodin afternoon...

Is that car FI or carbureted ? I can't remember. I had a stock 92 LX Hatch and basically redid the whole car before I was done.

That was a fun car. Stock block from Summit Racing and started from there...Vortech S Trim...Edlebrock Heads blah...blah...blah.

The reason for the new block is because I had a boo boo on a dyno with N20...DOH !! The car still ran but there was a small crack at the top of the block because of a loud backfire due to me letting off of the gas before the nitrous button ...yep my fault.

Just remember stock five oh blocks like splitting in half and plan accordingly

I'm actually in a similar situation myself. Trying to decide if its worth trying to resto my daytona or scoop up a shell in better shape to swap all my junk into. That and whether to stay sohc or move to a srt spec dohc

That is classic styling.........Better than the SN95's imo.

Go ahead and mod what's underneath, but don't change the wheels or add ghey body kits to it.

That car would be worth the same as a resto-mod, so I say make it your own, update it to your taste and today's best shit, and enjoy the hell out of it.
