Default Novi-Pinckney, MI June 21, 2008 Charity Ride

End location is still being finalized but all other details are good. Please come out if you can and if you can't and want to help please donate. This is for a real good friend of mine's brother.

RIDE FOR JAY 2008

Why are we doing this ride?
Jay Kortes [the week before his 47th birthday] was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS); most commonly known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”. ALS is progressive disease that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. As you can tell, his life and family [including wife Mary and teenage daughter Amy] are in for a big change. Due to this unfortunate situation and the overwhelming medical bills we are doing a charity ride in his honor. All proceeds from this ride will go directly to help with his medical bills and to make his house more accessible to his needs.

Got an address and pay-to-the-order-of for mail-in donations (I don't have a paypal account). I think this is a great thing you are doing. My uncle contracted ALS and it was devastating to him AND the family.

Horrible disease.

My hat is off to you, sir.
