How much have you read up on going to the Arctic Circle Drewpy? Do you have a copy of the Milepost?

The reason I ask is this.

Once you head north out of Fairbanks, you'll pick up the Elliott Highway for about 80 miles. A few miles past Livengood, you'll hit the Dalton Highway. Kiss the paving goodbye. You'll be on gravel road for the next 115 miles to the Arctic Circle. Fill up with gas before you get on the Dalton, as there aren't any services until you get to Coldfoot, which is 60 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Additionally, if you break down, I've read that the average tow bill is $5/mile. Also, don't forget that there aren't cell towers up there, so if you want phone service, you'll need to rent a satellite phone.

The read between the lines part of this is that your bikes need to have a fuel range of 230 miles with some room to spare, or you better be prepared to carry gas with you.

Heading out of Coldfoot, the next gas is available in Prudhow Bay, 240 miles away. I won't even go into the Brooks Range and all the truck traffic that has the right of way. LOL

Anyway, I wasn't sure how much you had research this endeavour yet, so I wanted to provide a little info. I've been researching and studying the Haul Road for over 5 years in anticipation of my trip to Prudhoe Bay.

If you need any other info, feel free to ask. I've got alot of reference material and info on everything between Fairbanks and Prudhoe Bay.

Great info, but Drewps is gonna have a tough time taking it all in, being as high as he is right now.
