When the show was released on DVD it was an instant hit, staying in Amazons top 10 dvd's for almost a year, in syndication on the scifi network it regularly doubles its original ratings. So then it was made into a movie which managed to tie up all the loose ends left by its early cancellation.
Serenity left lots of unanswered questions.

13th Warrior was good. Its one of those movies I can watch every time it comes on. Its also fun looking at how they adapted it from Beowulf.

Ok, a lot of the movies on your list are pure shit, but I'm not going to say which, because I'm a bastard.

With that in mind, may I suggest you go off the grid, and watch some weird shit instead.

Some of these have sub-titles. Deal with it.

Das Boot (best submarine movie ever made)

Run Lola Run (quirky German flick)

Memento (I forget why)

Heathers (chick flick with hand grenades)

Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown (I know, which ones aren't?)

The General (silent)

Easerhead (it's, um, well...)

Gross Pointe Blank (Pop Corn!)

Brazil (the movie, not the country)

Harold and Maude (I love this movie, but I can't watch it anymore, so you should)

Run Silent, Run Deep (second best submarine movie ever made)

The Abyss (best quasi-submarine movie ever made)

Seven (What's in the box?)

Dr. Strangelove (One of Stanley Kubrick's best films. When in doubt, watch anything directed by Kubrick, except for the film he made with Tom Cruise)

Naked Lunch (Oddly enough, it has nothing to do with lunch, or being naked)

Now I don't know what you've seen in terms of classic films, so I'm not going to name all the must see stuff from the last 50 years, unless you really want to see them, and can find them at a hip video store.

Enjoy.

If you do that list, we are going to need to start a battery fund.

Derf: You forgot "Pirates", "Please bang my horny fat white wife with your big giant black dick while I fondle myself in the corner of the room volume 32", and "Bareback Mountain" if that's her thing.

O Brother FTW!
