Default My ER-6N & trip.

WARNING. I CHIT CHAT. SCROLL DOWN TO PICS IF YOU WANT TO.

Well. Here she is. Sorry for the late post, but I haven't been able to ride here much.

It all started out with, "I want another bike." I started looking for a new gen ninja 250 for cheap and just couldnt find one cheap enough. People where wanting just as much or MORE than what you can get them at a dealership. Ft/Dallas seems to be the happen place to find a used craigslist bike but I'm a tad bit away from there and I just dont feel comfortable going that far and end up not bringing home a bike.

Well, then I started looking at the 650r's. There was a BRAND NEW '07 at the local dealership that has been sitting there for years and the day I was really thinking about going in, it sold two weeks before. Boohoo for me. So the ebay and craigslist hunting began. As I said before Ft/Dallas was the place to be, but the prices were crazy. From decent price to way over new price. There was a couple in NM, but they sold quickly. Then I thought I struck gold. A red 650r with some slight scratches pops up on route as if I was going to see family.

Called the guy up and he sold it a few weeks ago to a friend. He said he'd give my number to his friend cause he would probably sale it. Well, I never got a call. Well, nucker fucker. Not to lose hope I saw an '09 ER-6N for sale on a TX forum I'm on. I watched it and forgot about it cause finding another bike was wearing off of me like a bad temporary tattoo. The guy kept dropping the price and I finally bit. The good: He still had it. The Bad: He lives in Austin. Well, not really bad but I've never gone out of town to pick up a bike.

We both got our ducks in a row, but I had to wait a few weeks before I could book a flight cause of crappy weather. Finally I chose a thurs for a 6:30am flight with a lovely chance of rain for all 4 days I'd be gone. Guess what. There was no chance of rain. There WAS rain.

So I got the thurs and fri off and my father and his friend were good to go on riding down and meeting me. This was a super secret mission so I had a friend pick me up in the morn to take me to the airport. Well, friend got a new blackberry the day before and didnt know how to use it. So when he wasnt here on time, I'd call and it kept going to his voice mail. Ended up, he was parked the down street at the wrong house. LOL Left the house and got a good ways away and realized I left behind the bike paper work. Opps. Turn around, get the papers, get to the airport just 30 minutes before scheduled take off. Ran my ass to the check in lady, then through security. Had to take off my boots (steal toe), my jacket, helmet, and my backpack scanned twice and it got a cavity search. YES!!! At least she was kind enough to ask if it was alright to look through it. As if she wasn't going to in the first place.

Ok. I packed everthing, I mean everything into one back pack. This bitch was about to explode packed. I told her to have fun putting that shit all back. LOL It would be cool to know how many people were booked on the flight. It wasnt even half full. I could have brought my tank bag and eased my load. Anyways. She kept scanned my bag and then pulled out my disc lock. O boy. This should be good. She asked what it was and I told her it locks the disc rotor on bikes. She told me if I had to go through security in Austin, just go ahead and pull this out cause it shows all black on the x-ray. Okey Dokey then.

So, not even half full so I sit by myself next to the winder (by the wing) cause I've only flown 6 times I think. It was raining at take off and it would cool to go through the clouds and then over them. It was cloudy the whole way going there. No land in site. Hour in, we are ready to land. Get off the plane and it is humid as hell. Sat outside waiting on the guy to show up. He comes flying down in his Volvo. I didn't even know what he looked like and he didnt know what I looked like. I was waiting for him to step out with a bottle of lotion.

Cool guy. Headed to his condo with lovely traffic. The parking was underground which is very cool and he showed me an Aston Martin that he said just showed up. There was also a very nice older Landcruiser. Parked by the bike and we looked at her and I sat on her. Mmmmm......dirty. Went up to his condo and signed all the papers and stuff. Notice how I didnt even say I test rode her. It was do it or ride bitch back on my dads bike. Bawhaha. Went back down and looked her over one more time. Strapped my packpack to the back seat and I headed to the gate to get out. He let me out and we chatted some more. After that we shook hands and I was off into a city I've never been in alone, let alone on a bike. There was just a tad of gas in the tank and I didnt want to risk going empty so I took a right off the access road and little did I know I'd be going through little mexico. Haha. The stares....O the stares. White kid on a BRIGHT blue new bike.

Anyways. I headed to the hotel and was praying that they would let me check in early. Its around 8am and usually you cant check in till 2pm or so. Luckly they let me check in and I shook off the humidity and laid my lazy ass on the bed. Watched some adult channels then headed over to Target to get some toiletries cause I didn't bring any. No room, electronics more important. My dad and his friend finally roll up around 12pm and we head out to eat. On/off rain and wind. After eating I googled a harley place and it ended up taking us to Dickwood's on north I35. Thats when I got to sit on a VFR 1200. Yee Haa.

If only I could have test rode it. Rain rain its coming again. We let the rain clear some at dicks and then headed to the real harley place off of I35 in the other direction. Well, it started to really come down right before we hit on I35 where it splits the roads in double decker form. My dad and I took the low road and Mike was far behind us so I dont know where he went. lol. He ended up turning around and going back to the hotel. My dad and I kept on going. Let me tell ya. No windshield or fairings = wet upper body and wet penis....I mean legs.

Well shit. The rain really spoils the day cause the plan was to stay around Austin all day finding nice roads (three sisters?) to ride, then stay in Kerrville the next day. Supper time hits now, so we start to roll out in the rain to find a walmart so I can get a cheap wet suit. Luckly an academy was just down the roadn we stopped and I bought me some over priced Frogs. Yippie, this shit is way over priced. $60 my ass. Put the overpriced shit on and we decided just to eat supper at the hotel. Mike isn't much of a rain rider. LOL. "You two just ride off like no big deal and I'm worrying about someone running my ass over." This was the first thing that made the trip worth it. We get done eating and get back to the room. Mike turns on the tv in the bed area and its a dude rail roading this lady. Hahaha. I was all, what the hell are you watching? "I dont know but I'm not changing channels." The first thing that came to my mind was the episode of FRIENDS where Chandler and Joey get free porn. It was actually HBO and some whore house show. Then comes the funny part. This guy comes in, picks two girls and head to the room. Shows the guy sitting on the bed while to two gals do their thing. After awhile the dude says, "I wish I had two dick." BAWHAHAHHAAHA. Rest of the trip thats all we would quote.

Ok. Friday morning we end up heading to Wacky Waco to see some family. This is out of our planning and you'll see why in a sec. So off we go down I35 and my dad spots a HornyToad Harley billboard. So the whole time we're trying to figure out where its at. I google map it and sadly google was wrong again. Must be a harley place. Well the place ends up being out in the middle of no where right off of I35. You'd have to be Ray Charles not to see if. Big ass building with big ass water tower. Cool place to buy a $30k harley. So off to Waco again. Its overcast the whole damn time. No rain though. We get there and of course the sun starts to come out and its now humid humid. Yea! So we're waiting at a parking lot on family and we decide that we'll cancel the reservation in Kerrville and stay in Waco. Wrong! They wont let my dad cancel his res so after we eat lunch (around 3pm) we head BACK DOWN to Kerrville which is left of Austin. Love me some back tracking. LOL. We ended up heading west to Gatesville, south through Copperas Cove, then south Lampasas, then Llano, Fredericksburg, to Kerrville. Saw a cool damn and a decommissioned bridge by Buchanan Lake I believe. About 10 miles when the sun just dropped, they sky opened up on us. Couldn't see very well and I had to keep my visor cracked open so it wouldn't fog up on me. Luckily the Frogs did a good job, but the zip legs I had to leave unzipped a good ways. If you zip them all the way down, they bring up the pants past my boots and thats no good.

So we get to the motel and and they were real cool about bikers. So its almost 9pm and its suppa time again. We drop our crap off in the room and head out into the dark rain to find some grub. We let Mike choose but he couldnt make his mind up. I chose schlotzsky's, but they were closing when we turned around and got there. So we headed to a chili's that was way off in a weird location. This made the trip worth it right here. We sat at a bar table and behind us was Drunk boyfriend, upset girlfriend, and drunk dude's friend. So I'll call them, Douche bag, slut, and blow my brains out. You'll understand the names in a sec.

So we're sitting there waiting and waiting on our order (fucking kids working at restuarants). Well Douche bag starts to open his mouth. We all know that Douche bag + beer + out in public = annoying. Scene: Douche bag is starring at his slut. Slut has face down in her arms on table. Blow my brains out isn't doing anything. Douche bag starts is just blabbing and blabbing about how slut sticking her hands down another dudes pants and blowing kisses to him. He WILL NOT SHUT THE FUCK UP. Slut does nothing with her face down and blow my brains out just keeps drinking free beer. So Douche bag says things like, "Do you think a normal relationship consist of you sticking your hands down some dude's pants and blowing kisses to him?" "How would you like it if some girl stuck her hands down my pants and blew kisses to me?" "Is this normal? Say something. Slap me, punch me, etc etc if I'm wrong." "Do something."

To this day I still can not believe Mike didn't do anything. He's not a tall guy but he's a strong guy. He's been an electrician for years. This means his hands are as hard as a rock. If he slapped you, you'd have to pick your face skin up off the floor. The man has wrestled a deer to death out in fucking cold as shit snow weather. Deer look weak but they are not weak. SIDESTORY: Hunting season, deer gets shot, guys split up to find deer. Deer has already been shot 3 times. One leg just barely hanging on. Mike finds deer. Throws knife at deer. LOL Doesnt do anything cause the deer's skin is hard as hell from cold weather. So what does Mike do, you guess it. He wrestles the mutherfucker. He literally twist the deers head fully around and it will not snap. I remember seeing a movie where this lady crashes her car and hits a deer. She walks up to it and snaps the deer's neck. Bawhaha. Ya right. So no go on the head twisting so Mike was able to grab his knife and slit the deer's neck. Ok. I agree that this was not the smartest thing to do what just think of how big his dick is after telling a story like that.

Ok back on topic. So slut finally gets up and leaves, but 'O douche bag just keeps on talking to blow my brains out saying the same shit. He just keeps repeating the same phrases. Finally douche bag is ready to pay his bill and if fucking card is denied. BAWHAHAHAHA. So we finish eating, say two dick jokes about Douche bag, then we head back to the motel and its almost 12am. Another late night in a row. Tomorrow is gonna hurt. Our room was on the inside of the square shape motel and they let me pull my bike up to the door. My dad parked his Shadow in one of the outside hallways. Mike had to park his big ass harley in a parking spot but I put my walmart bike cover over his cause "large" really stands for "HUGE ASS BIKE COVER."

Next morning (Sat), we get up and eat breakfast. I needed to get some chain lube cause we've gone so many miles and all the rain. I head over to Home Depot and guess what. They dont carry the Dupont spray anymore. Even the stores back home. So I spend almost 45 minutes going place to place to find O-ring safe lube. I end up getting some crap at Advance and just spray the hell out of the chain. Still got some left overs all over under the bike. We spend another 30 minutes finding anti-fog spray. We do find some (it sucked) and the sun comes out. Its now hot as hell. We were at a red light and a guy and wife were on a Triumph Tiger with two riders on older Kawasaki somethings. He told me cool bike and the Kawa guys waved. The truimph was skittles. Three cylinders of awesome.

Apparently there was a Harley get together somewhere cause they were all over the place in Kerrville. When we headed out to Fredricksburg, we saw a TON of old Vdubs. From turds to beauties to shaggin waggins. Its was really neat. Dad wanted to stop at Luckenbach to get a T-shirt but they had it closed down for some dress up cat convention. FTW??? Don't ask don't tell I guess. So turn around back to Fredrickburg

and off to Brownwood some we could eat at Underwoods. Mmmm...Mmmm...FUCKING...Mmmmm....good. So heading back to Brownwood we go through *can't remember, edit later*. Stop at Underwoods and of course my allergies are picking up. There was tons of blooming flowers around Austin but up here where not as much I start having trouble. But of course. I haven't had Underwoods in years so back off if I'm annoying you with it. They have a beef steak or whatever they call it. Its pressure cooked and it's so tender. O MY GOD its so tender.

Done eating, we gas up and head to Abilene. The weather decides that there isn't enough wind so it blows and blows and blows and blows and at one point I wish it would have sucked. The temp had to have dropped 20 degrees. Its was cold cold. So no windshield and little fairings to keep the wind/rain off my legs wasn't helping. So 80 miles to our destination in Abilene was shitty. We went through Santa Anna, Coleman, Goldsboro, and Lawn before hitting Abilene. Mike parted ways to his place and I headed to my father's place where to find out that his 1/8 mile drive way was a mud pit. FUCKING AWESOME! Still hasn't gravelled it. Lets see. Sport bike + sport tires /8 miles of watery mud = Fuckin A. Sorry no pics. I know I should have but I was tired, cold and tired some more picking up my dad's bike and pushing him through the mud. I'm really laughing right now as I type.

So far the trip from plan A to plan N. Plan Not going as planned. So I'm tired tired. Dad told me to go cover my bike up before it gets dark, which I didn't and the cats did a lovely finger painting job on my bike. That was a joy to wake up to. Luckily no scratches.

So now it's Sunday (Apr 18) and I'm tired. The no windshield thing isn't really that bad. The bad was my helmet fits tight but apparently not tight enough to keep it from mashing my face and wanting to work it's way up and that wasn't the worse of the worse. The worse was when it's mashed against your face and moves upward, it puts a lot of pressure on the ears and add ear buds, it was hurting. Well I'm not riding hundreds of miles without music so I just sucked it up.........and cried when I got home.

From Abilene I head almost another 200 miles to home sweet home. No rain, but of course wind windy wind wind. Well, that's about it. As usual I forgot to take a pic of my final destination mileage so I can't tell you exactly how many miles I rode. Sorry, but I'm more irritated than you are. I do know the odometer was under 1600 miles. So in four days I almost surpassed the last two owners mileage. LOL If it wasn't for the rain I would have a ton more pics and would have mounted the camera on the bike for some vid shots, but O well.

My dad bought a Harley after all this and he said that when he sat on it, he grew another dick. Bawhahahahha. If only ya'll where there you'd get how funny this is.

If someone could tell me how to post google maps with routes I would like to show post one.

Here's the starting mileage for me.

Here she is when I first got to the hotel in Austin.

These pics I took yesterday before I put her up.
