Default Cam Chain Tensioner

Okay so im hearing a little valve noise coming from the engine in higher temperatures and in mild speeds. Is this possibly a CCT problem? When is it recommended to replace the CChain?

I know ive been asking tons of questions but this was one thing the dealer said was nothing to worry about but i feel it is. If im right then i dont think ill go to that dealer again. LMK what you think. Ive been reading about it on a few sites and i feel i need to replace it. Im just worried about the clicking valve sounds im hearing.

Dude, do you control your bike by hitting it with a hammer? Between this and the fork seals and I vaugely remember a few other questions you posed too.

How many miles on the bike? Is it time to clearance your valves?

If you need to clearance your valves go here:

To set your timing after go here

That era of the R6 is known to have a loud valvetrain. Mine (01) is loud too. Most of what I have seen says it isn't a problem.

That makes me feel a little bit better. Does yours slowly burn oil? mine gets pretty hot and the fan comes on sometimes and i have to add some.

If I get stuck in traffic or even at a long stoplight the fan will kick on. As soon as I can get going 30+ it cools back down pretty quick. I haven't had any issue with it burning oil though. It is still at the full line on the dipstick from changing it around 1k miles ago.
