Um the Ninjas aren't going to be "stock" either...any mods you can make to the CBR can be made to the Ninjas... I don't think thay have tracks that "tight" on the AMA schedule. I'm not sure why they didn't bring the VFR250 back from the dead.

I still think that they should have "one upped" Kawasaki and brought a 400/450 to the table...

My clubs tracks have 3 tight 1.9 or 1.8 mile tracks. I think the shorter wheelbase, steeper rake, and possible weight advantage would give the CBR an edge.

I was already deep into the Formula 450 GP Singles research. The 450 single engine would be quite a stomper, but converting a motocrosser is big bucks. Hoping up this lil 250 would be cheaper.

as far as Honda is concerned I dont think they want to outrace or outsell the baby ninja. I think this is a place to make back all their single cyl Moto3 R&D...

I don't think its gonna have a thing for the ninjette. Double valve area and a broader powerband make much more difference than that slight weight difference. Vtr250 would have been closer, though I think Ps rev a lil quicker than Vs

Not mine, but I had one exactly like it for a bit. Honda RS125 chassis with a CRF450 engine. Actually bought it for my kid, but decided the SV would get him more track time.

Thats what I want. I raced SVs and 600s but really want something super light. My best friends TZ250 spoiled me forever to light makes right...

I told my dad about honda making a 250 and it being a thumper. He said maybe they wanted the parts to interchange with their lawn mowers.

A local guy, who works for Yamaha, slotted a 4-stroke dirtbike motor into a couple of TZ125 frames. They were roughly 240cc and competed in the 125GP class.

I saw one the other day at school. Looked like a good bike.

If my GF ever wanted a bike and I got her a 250, i'd probably just get a Kawi. But I'd also look into safety stuff such as the brakes. I'm not sure how strong the new Ninjas are but the old ninja I rode didn't have great brakes. If the Honda had better brakes then I'd get the Honda.
