Kobalt? I have a set of screwdrivers from them that are prety good, but most of my stuff is craftsman too.

I don't think Sears will ever go under. Some numskell from overseas will buy them, keeping them afloat just because they think the brand name is powerful.

Yup I'd say the Kobalt stuff is good, I own some of their tools too, not bad.

When I was on the flight line we used Craftsman tools almost exclusively. Every week we'd take the broken or worn out ones to Sears for swap-out, it was awesome. There was this one old guy who was the only one who would deal with us. He'd take the box of broken stuff and set us up with replacements, whistling the whole time. The other employees would roll their eyes when we came in, but this guy was always cheerful. Thanked us for our business every time. I pretty much only buy Craftsman stuff., unless it's a drill, then I buy DeWalt.
