Yeah, the flapperectomy and filter base plate mods are done on mine... I was just poking around and found that there are a number of aftermarket airbox solutions out there that make significant improvments... and a number of DIY solutions with varying results. I'm trying to sift thorugh the garbage to find something definitive because from what I gather there's free HP to be found here... the Bimota's used the same engine, but got something like 10% more HP out of them, so there's something going on... hopefully it's free!

Ok, ok... just the wheels then if I have to chose...

Not sure either, but we both have R's so it wouldn't matter...

The first thing I thought when I saw that rear end was a double center up. Like feed the pipes up under the subframe and have those two beasts coming out from under that squared off piece. I was even thinking mess with the kick angle a bit, instead of having them come out flat. I was also trying to figure if longer or shorter would look better. The problem is that that new fiberglass box looks lile it gets in the way of a center mount.

Worked for a few hours last night... didn't get shit done...

Fucked around trying to make exhaust mounts out of some 3/16" AL, but nothing came out to my standards... I think I need to rethink the way I was going about it...

Disabled my kickstand switch... the connector came off of the harness in a bad place and kept me from properly stuffing wires... plus the wire coming off the switch didn't have a good place to be ran, so fuck that thing. Bike won't start without the clutch engaged anyway so I'm not too worried.

I hate days like this...

After a long layoff, I actually did a little work last weekend...

Made up a bracket to mount the gauges... I hate it, but it's functional. I'm going to bite the bullet and rivet a bracket directly to the tank. Now, how do you do that without getting a bunch of shavings in the tank? Or how do you get them out aftewards? Tips would be appreciated.

I also made the decision to run straight pipes... screwing around with mounting the exhaust, so fuck it. I'll get some slip in baffles and slash cut the ends... there are a number of TL guys who run this setup and say it isn't too bad...

As she sits:
