just talked to a guy w/ a bike i like, at a very reasonable price. has a lien on it though, so i responded with this

I'm a little weary about dealing with liens, and as a rule i generally would like to get a hold of the lien holder and get access to your loan payoff amount and write a separate cashiers check payable to them, and pay the rest in cash, to you . I understand this is a personal issue, but i assure you i would not expect any sort of information until we've reached an agreement on a price, have signed an authorized bill of sale for the vehicle, and have had two copies notarized by a notary public.

is that good sport?
