Be nice if some people who have a truck had the balls to say why they had a truck and not come up with a long bullshit list of excuses.

We are buying a truck soon because we are sick of having to borrow my dad's every other week for this or that. It gets old. If I want to move a bike or buy some furniture, I don't want to have to drive down to my dads an hour away, drive back, pick the shit up, move it, then drive back to my dad's with his truck and then drive my car back home. Megalame.

And we are buying a tacoma because that's what my husband wants.

I think I've already done that in the past, but I'll do it again just for you, Paul.

I bought a truck years ago simply because I wanted one and it just so happens it turned out to be a handy vehicle for my normal routine. Since then I've always kept a pickup in the driveway. When I bought this last one a few months ago I could have gotten away with a Ford Ranger or something, but fuck that, this is America goddammit and I wanted my big option-laden, gas sucking, 4wd Silverado.

Why didn't you ask. I bought mine for a few reasons. One I wanted one for years. Two my wife asked me to by her one. Three the rising gas prices put then in price range I was willing to pay.

*shrug* I have a truck because not having one would be a pain in my ass. I live in the country, I have a lot of hobbies, I get shit done. I've loaded and unloaded more tons of crap into my 5-year-old Dodge than most candy-ass metrosexual urbanites will move in their lifetime. I was driving a truck 17 years ago when it sure as hell wasn't cool, and I'll probably be driving one 20 years from now. If it's cool or not, I don't give a shit.
